What they need
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for fabrication/construction projects, including materials, labor, and time requirements.
- Oversee all contract management activities, including the preparation of tender documents, contracts, and bills of quantities.
- Monitors project expenditures against allocated budget during project execution.
- Evaluate project plans and specifications to ensure accurate and competitive costing.
- Conduct regular site visits/fabrication quality checks to assess progress and to ensure adherence to project specifications and timelines.
- Regularly update the Operation Manager, Project Supervisors, Project Coordinators, Engineers and Architects to align on project budget and scope.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Monitor and report on project expenses and prepare financial reports for management.
- Manage risks and perform cost control measures to prevent defects.
- Resolve any contract disputes and handle claims related to project costs.
- Ensure compliance with legal standards and company policies in all project dealings.
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a similar field.
- Proven experience as a Cost Estimator and Quantity Surveyor
