About the role

Collective Designs Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic construction team. This is a full-time position based in Kampong Ubi, Central Region. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a critical role in managing project costs, contracts, and financial performance across our construction projects. Your expertise will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse and challenging projects whilst contributing to the strategic financial objectives of the company.

Key responsibilities

• Preparing accurate cost estimates, bills of quantities, and project budgets for tender documentation and contract negotiations
• Managing contract administration, including reviewing contractual terms, managing variations, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations
• Monitoring project expenditure and providing regular cost control reports to project management and senior stakeholders
• Conducting site valuations and interim payment assessments to ensure accurate financial tracking throughout project delivery
• Negotiating with suppliers, subcontractors, and consultants to secure competitive pricing and favourable contract terms
• Analysing claims and variations, preparing recommendations, and supporting dispute resolution processes where necessary
• Maintaining comprehensive project records, documentation, and financial databases in accordance with industry standards
• Collaborating with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure cost-effective solutions and design optimisation
• Conducting final account settlements and preparing project closure documentation

About you

• Professional qualification in Quantity Surveying — Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management or a related field
• Minimum 3 years' quantity surveying experience, preferably on Singapore residential, commercial or mixed-use projects; interior fit-out and A&A experience is a strong advantage
• Strong knowledge of contract management in Singapore's design and construction industry — BQ preparation, tendering, contract administration, variation orders and final accounts
• Working knowledge of Singapore construction practices, procurement standards and regulatory requirements, including PE endorsement for structural hacking and MCST renovation submissions
• Strong Excel skills, comfortable reading architectural drawings and performing quantity take-offs; familiar with cost estimation software
• Strong numerical and analytical skills, with the discipline to keep costings, contracts, variation orders and drawings accurate, current and traceable
• Confident negotiator who can compare bids line by line, challenge inflated quotes and secure fair pricing from subcontractors and suppliers
• Able to run costings for several projects concurrently and prioritise effectively under deadline pressure
• Strong communicator who can run their own workload independently while coordinating closely with designers, accounts, project teams and contractors
