Quantity Surveyor

Role Purpose

The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for measurement, cost control, and reporting for civil and road construction works . The role requires strong technical expertise in earthworks quantity

management and cost verification, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lot-level measurement and verification against survey records

• Subcontractor measurement and certification

• Daily cost capture and monitoring

• Preparation of monthly cost reports to Senior QS

• Earthworks quantity management (cut/fill, borrow, haul)

• Civils measurement and cost control

Qualifications & Experience

• BSc in Quantity Surveying or Diploma in Quantity Surveying

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in civil and road construction

• Essential: Earthworks quantity management (cut/fill, borrow, haul)

• ZIQS registration or eligibility required

• Proficiency in CCS Candy and Microsoft Excel

• Professional Registration:

o Mandatory ZIQS

• Strong technical and analytical skills in civil works measurement

• Ability to work in remote site conditions with resilience and adaptability

• Detail-oriented with excellent reporting and documentation skills

Location

• Remote site, Kasempa District, Northwestern Province, Zambia

• Residential position with accommodation in a site camp

• Rotation/leave cycle to be agreed per grade

Duration

• Fixed-term contract aligned to construction programme (until December 2029)
