QUANTITY SURVEYOR

Overall Job Objective

To support the Tender Manager in all tendering activities, including quantity take-off, cost estimation, sourcing quotations, cost comparison, tender evaluation, and preparation of tender analysis reports.

Core Responsibilities

1. Prepare quantity take-off and Bills / Schedule of Quantities (BQ/SOQ).
2. Source and obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors, including price comparison and evaluation.
3. Assist in cost estimation, unit rate build-up, budgeting, and preparation of tender submissions.
4. Prepare, analyse, and present tender cost summaries and reports for management review.
5. Attend tender briefings, site visits, and show rounds as required.
6. Perform any other ad-hoc duties assigned by Management.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management, or related disciplines.
• Minimum 2–5 years of relevant tendering experience with project exposure in the construction industry.
• Good knowledge of construction contracts, procurement procedures, and cost control practices.
• Familiar with quantity take-off, costing, and contract administration.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and QS-related software.
• Able to work independently and perform effectively under tight deadlines.
