QUANTITY SURVEYOR

About the Role

We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our project team in Tawau, Sabah. The successful candidate will be mainly responsible for taking-off, quantity measurement, BOQ preparation and project costing.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out taking-off and quantity measurement from construction drawings and specifications.
• Prepare and review Bills of Quantities (BOQ).
• Calculate quantities for civil, structural and building works.
• Review drawings and specifications to identify changes, discrepancies and additional works.
• Prepare quantity breakdowns for materials and construction works.
• Assist in preparing cost estimates, quotations and tender documents.
• Verify site measurements and quantities of completed works.
• Coordinate with project engineers, site personnel, subcontractors and suppliers on quantity-related matters.
• Maintain proper records of quantity take-offs, BOQs and costing documents.
• Perform other duties related to Quantity Surveying as assigned.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related field.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in construction or Quantity Surveying is preferred.
• Strong knowledge and experience in taking-off and quantity measurement.
• Able to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD is an advantage.
• Good analytical, numerical and organisational skills.
• Able to work independently and meet project deadlines.
• Willing to work and be based in Tawau, Sabah.
• Fresh graduates with relevant qualifications and strong interest in Quantity Surveying are encouraged to apply.
