Quantity Surveyor

About the role

LEC Steel Manufacturing Corp. is looking for a Quantity Surveyor with strong analytical skills and costing knowledge to conduct evaluations of materials, labor, and project requirements. This position will assist in preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for the company's projects.

Key responsibilities

• Reviewing project plans, drawings, and specifications
• Preparing detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and other project expenses
• Coordinating with Engineering, Production, and Purchasing teams for accurate costing
• Developing and analyzing Bill of Quantities (BOQ)
• Updating the costing database and price list
• Assisting in the preparation of proposals and quotations for clients
• Identifying potential cost-saving strategies
• Ensuring all costing documents are accurate and complete

About you

• Graduate of Engineering, Architecture, Industrial Technology, or any related course
• Experience as a Cost Estimator or background in the construction/steel manufacturing industry is an advantage
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply
• Proficient in reading technical drawings and plans
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills
• Detail-oriented and highly organized
• Proficient in MS Excel, AutoCAD (an advantage), and other costing tools
