ECOBUILT CONSTRUCTION SDN. BHD. is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team in Subang Jaya, Selangor. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in our construction operations. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing project costs, budgets, and commercial aspects of construction projects. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring our projects remain financially viable whilst maintaining the highest standards of quality and delivery. This position is essential to our operations and will provide you with the opportunity to work on diverse, high-profile construction projects.

Job Description

• Preparation of cost estimates, bills of quantities and tender documents
• Identify and source appropriate materials, optimizing cost-effectiveness without compromising quality.
• Negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain the best prices and terms.
• Maintaining accurate records and documentation of all project-related cost and financial transactions
• Monitor project expenditures and financial progress, providing regular updates to project managers
• Provide expert advice on contractual, risk management and cost-saving measures
• Prepare and submit comprehensive progress reports, valuations, and final accounts.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of projects and client satisfaction
• Ensure all project activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards

Job Requirements

• Possess a degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field

• Minimum of 3 years' professional experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry

• Demonstrated expertise in cost estimation, budget management and financial forecasting on construction projects

• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, including understanding of contract conditions, variations and claims management

• Proficiency with quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office applications

• Excellent negotiation and communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively across all levels of project teams

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail

• Knowledge of Malaysian construction practices, regulations and industry standards is highly advantageous
