What they need

We are looking for a detail-oriented Junior Quantity Surveyor to support costing, procurement and project administration for commercial interior renovation, servicing and maintenance works. You will work closely with our project team, suppliers and subcontractors to prepare accurate quotations, monitor costs and coordinate project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare cost estimates, quotations and bills of quantities for commercial interior renovation, servicing and maintenance works.
  • Review drawings, specifications and site requirements to carry out quantity take-offs for interior finishes, fittings and mechanical and electrical (M&E) works.
  • Request quotations from suppliers and subcontractors, compare prices and scope of work, and assist with procurement recommendations.
  • Assist in preparing tender submissions, progress claims, variation quotations and final accounts.
  • Track project costs and changes in scope, highlighting discrepancies or potential cost overruns to the project team.
  • Liaise with clients, main contractors, subcontractors and suppliers to clarify requirements and coordinate project matters.
  • Attend site visits and meetings as required to verify measurements, assess work scope and support quotation preparation.
  • Receive and follow up on clients’ servicing and maintenance requests, including coordinating technicians’ site attendance and tracking completion.
  • Prepare and maintain project records, including purchase orders, work orders, delivery orders, invoices and correspondence.
  • Assist the project team with scheduling, documentation and day-to-day coordination to support timely completion of works.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management or a related discipline.
  • Preferably at least one year of relevant experience in interior fit-out, commercial renovation, construction, or servicing and maintenance. Fresh graduates with relevant internship experience are welcome to apply.
  • Able to read and interpret architectural, interior design and basic M&E drawings.
  • Basic knowledge of construction materials, interior finishes, measurement methods and costing.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word. Familiarity with AutoCAD and Microsoft Project is an advantage.
  • Good numerical skills, attention to detail and an organised approach to documentation.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines, working independently on routine assignments and seeking guidance when needed.
  • Good communication and coordination skills, with a proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Able to communicate effectively in written and spoken English.
