Quantity Surveyor

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team. You will play a key role in managing project costs, tendering, subcontractor evaluation, progress claims, variations, and contract administration.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, commercially minded, and able to work independently, with strong coordination and communication skills.

Job Description

• Prepare tender pricing, cost estimates, and Bills of Quantities (BQ).
• Source and evaluate quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Prepare quotation comparisons and cost analysis.
• Monitor project costs and assist with cost control.
• Check and evaluate progress claims and payment applications.
• Handle Variation Orders (VO), contractual claims, and final accounts.
• Assist in contract administration and commercial matters.
• Liaise with project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Perform other quantity surveying duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in construction/engineering.
• Experience in tendering, costing, claims, VO, and progress payments.
• Good knowledge of construction contracts and commercial practices.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Able to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Able to communicate effectively in English, Mandarin and Bahasa Malaysia.
