Salary: £55,000 per annum

We are currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to join an established construction and property consultancy based in Birmingham.

This is a great opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to work across a varied portfolio of public sector and residential projects, while developing their career within a professional consultancy environment.

The Role

• Preparing cost plans, estimates and tender documentation
• Managing procurement and tender processes
• Preparing valuations and assessing variations
• Monitoring project costs and budgets
• Preparing and agreeing final accounts
• Providing commercial and contractual advice to clients
• Working closely with contractors, clients and project teams
• Supporting projects from pre-construction through to completion

About You

• Previous experience working as a Quantity Surveyor
• Consultancy experience preferred
• Experience within public sector and/or residential projects is desirable
• Good understanding of construction costs, procurement and contracts
• Experience with valuations, variations and final accounts
• Strong communication and commercial skills
• Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
• RICS qualification or working towards chartership would be advantageous
