QUANTITY SURVEYOR

About the role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team at NINE TREE DESIGN SDN. BHD. in Gelang Patah, Johor. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial aspects of our construction projects, ensuring efficiency, cost control, and successful project delivery.

What you'll be doing

1. Prepare detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documents for construction projects
2. Monitor project budgets and costs, identifying potential savings and risks
3. Negotiate and manage subcontractor and supplier contracts
4. Analyse and process progress claims, variations, and final accounts
5. Provide cost advice and recommendations to the project team
6. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and procedures
7. Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of projects

What we're looking for

1. Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
2. Minimum 1 year to 2 year of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry
3. Strong understanding of construction contracts, tendering processes, and cost control methodologies
4. Proficient in the use of quantity surveying software and MS Office applications
5. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
6. Ability to work in a team and under pressure to meet deadlines
7. Familiarity with the construction industry in Malaysia is preferred
