What they need
Position Overview
Tekton Engineering is seeking a versatile and sharp Quantity Surveyor to join our Head Office team. As a core member of a lean engineering and management setup, you will act as the financial and commercial anchor for our ongoing projects. This is a centralized role responsible for end-to-end commercial control across all sites, from preliminary estimations, tender preparation, and subcontractor billing to overall contract administration and client invoicing.
If you thrive in a fast-paced environment where your work directly impacts project profitability and company growth, this role offers high visibility and direct interaction with executive leadership.
Key Responsibilities
1. Estimation, Bidding & Pre-Construction
- Prepare accurate Bill of Quantities (BOQs), cost estimates, and material take-offs from architectural and structural drawings.
- Lead the commercial side of bidding and tendering for new projects, including preparing bid packages, rate analysis, and financial proposals.
- Solicit and evaluate quotations from suppliers and specialized vendors during the pre-bid phase.
2. Subcontractor Management & Billing
- Process, verify, and reconcile all subcontractor running bills (IPCs) and final accounts against actual site measurements.
- Perform detailed site measurement audits (periodically visiting project sites as needed) to verify work progress.
- Issue Subcontractor Agreements, Work Orders, and variations, ensuring clear scope boundaries and rate alignments.
3. Client Billing & Contract Administration
- Prepare, submit, and track Interim Payment Applications (IPCs) for clients in coordination with project managers.
- Identify, draft, and negotiate variation orders, claims, and time extensions with client representatives.
- Monitor contract conditions (FIDIC / local standards) to protect company commercial interests and limit liability.
4. Cost Control & Cash Flow
- Maintain centralized cost-tracking logs for all active sites to monitor planned vs. actual project expenditures.
- Perform material reconciliation reports to prevent wastage and control inventory leakage across sites.
- Assist executive management with monthly budget reviews and cash flow forecasting.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management.
- Experience: 3–6 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in building construction, high-rise, or commercial projects.
- Technical Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and measurement software.
- Strong expertise in BOQ preparation, rate analysis, contract interpretation, and billing structures.
- Soft Skills: Direct, firm negotiation style; clear written and verbal communication; and strong numerical analytical skills.
- Adaptability: Comfort working in a close-knit, fast-moving office environment where cross-functional initiative is valued.
Pay: Rs60,000.00 - Rs80,000.00 per month
