Quantity Surveyor

About the role

We are a well-established Metal Works company with a strong track record in the construction industry. We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare quotations, cost estimates and tender submissions for Metal Works projects.
• Carry out quantity take-offs and measurements based on drawings and specifications.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations.
• Monitor project costs, budgets and overall cost control.
• Prepare progress claims, variation orders and final accounts.
• Review project drawings, contracts and scope of works to identify cost implications.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers, subcontractors and internal project teams on commercial matters.
• Maintain accurate records and provide support on tendering and other QS-related matters.

About you

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Candidates with Metal Works / Steel Works / Structural Steel experience are strongly preferred.
• Basic knowledge of quantity surveying procedures, cost estimation, and contract administration.
• Able to read and understand construction drawings and specifications.
• Good analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication, negotiation and analytical skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
