QUANTITY SURVEYOR

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review Bills of Quantities (BOQ) based on drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Take-off quantities from civil, architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates, rate analysis, and material/labour cost calculations.
• Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, and contractual requirements.
• Prepare and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
• Monitor project costs against the approved budget and identify cost variations.
• Prepare interim payment applications, progress valuations, and payment certificates.
• Prepare, evaluate, and negotiate variation orders and additional works.
• Maintain proper records of quantities, measurements, variations, claims, and project costs.
• Verify subcontractor measurements and payment applications.
• Assist in preparation of final accounts and project close-out documentation.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers, Site Teams, Procurement, Accounts, and Consultants.
• Attend site inspections and verify actual work quantities completed.
• Review and assess material requirements and wastage.
• Assist in preparation and evaluation of tender submissions.
• Maintain proper commercial and contractual documentation.
• Monitor contractual obligations, payment terms, and project financial performance.
• Prepare regular cost reports and commercial reports for management.
• Support the project team in identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or specifications.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience, preferably in Qatar/GCC construction projects.
• Qatar/GCC experience will be an advantage.
• Candidates with experience in building, infrastructure, civil, MEP, or fit-out projects are preferred.

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation and quantity take-off.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and MS Office.
• Knowledge of rate analysis and cost estimation.
• Knowledge of construction materials and methods.
• Understanding of construction drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of variations, claims, valuations, and final accounts.
• Familiarity with FIDIC contracts is an advantage.
• Experience with quantity surveying / estimation software is an advantage.

Pay: QAR4,000.00 - QAR6,000.00 per month
