Duties:

  • Negotiate and administer subcontract agreements and supplier contracts
  • Conduct cost reconciliations and provide regular financial reporting to stakeholders
  • Support Project Managers with commercial advice and project financial performance
  • Prepare and review tender submissions, estimates, measurements, and pricing
  • Manage cashflow forecasting and revenue recovery activities
  • Maintain project financial data within company cost management systems
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers

Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 8 years' Quantity Surveying experience within commercial construction
  • Proven experience independently managing the commercial aspects of projects valued between $200K and $20M
  • Strong knowledge of NZS 3910, NZS 3915, and NZS 3916 contracts
  • Sound understanding of the Construction Contracts Act and general contract law principles
  • Demonstrated experience in cost planning, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
  • Strong subcontract procurement and commercial management background
  • Proven experience managing variations, claims, progress payments, and final accounts
  • Ability to identify, assess, and manage commercial risk
  • Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Relevant National Diploma or Degree qualification
  • Experience with Procore, Finbuild, Lentune, BWare, or similar construction management systems is advantageous
  • Full New Zealand Driver Licence

What we offer:

  • Competitive remuneration package
  • Opportunities to work on exciting, complex, and award‑winning projects
  • Career development and professional growth supported by a high‑performing team
  • A positive, collaborative workplace culture
  • Work/life balance and the lifestyle benefits of living in some beautiful places
  • Health and wellbeing support, including access to EAP services
  • Social events, team activities, and a genuinely supportive environment
  • Exposure to landmark commercial developments across New Zealand
  • A company that values innovation, continuous improvement, and excellence

Why you should apply:
