Quantity Surveyor

We are looking for a detail-oriented and skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team in the metal fabrication industry. The role will focus on cost estimation, project evaluation, and ensuring accurate financial and material assessments for fabrication projects.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate cost estimates, quotations, and budgets for fabrication projects.

• Conduct material take-offs and ensure correct quantity requirements.

• Analyze project drawings, specifications, and contracts to identify cost implications.

• Monitor project costs, variations, and prepare reports for management.

• Coordinate with the Design, Production, and Purchasing teams for project costing

• Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations.

• Source and compare material prices from suppliers when necessary

• Monitor project costs and recommend cost-saving opportunities

• Prepare bid proposals and support the sales team during client inquiries

• Maintain records of quotations, estimates, and project cost data

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering
• With At least 2 years experience in metal fabrication or sheet metal manufacturing
• Strong knowledge of fabrication materials, costing, and project estimation.
• Proficient in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and cost estimation software.
• Can interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
• Excellent analytical, mathematical, and negotiation skills.
• Detail-oriented and able to work under tight deadlines.
