About the role

This role involves managing cost and contractual matters for private and government construction projects, including tender preparation, cost analysis, and claims management.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, negotiate and analyse costs for tenders and contracts for private and government projects
• Handle all contractual matters in relation to cost and time with clients and subcontractors
• Value completed work and prepare claim settlement and notification correspondences to clients
• Monitor projects to ensure materials and subcontractor cost forecasts adhere to agreed budgets
• Prepare monthly progress claims
• Valuate sub-contractors' progress claims and Variation Orders
• Discuss, prepare and submit Variation Orders
• Issue Works Orders
• Prepare monthly cashflow projections

About you

• Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Quantity Survey or equivalent
• At least 2 years of working experience in the related field preferred
• Methodical way of thinking
• Knowledge of building and construction work
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Good financial and numeracy management skills
• Excellent communication and negotiating skills
• Ability to absorb complex information and assess requirements readily
• Computer literate in Microsoft Office
• Able to communicate in English and Chinese
