Quantity Surveyor

About the role

This is a Quantity Surveying role responsible for managing project costs, preparing financial documentation, and coordinating with stakeholders across building and construction projects.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates, budgets and tender documents
• Perform quantity take-off and measurement based on drawings
• Prepare quotations, progress claims and Variation Orders (VO)
• Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations and claims
• Prepare subcontractor payment certificates and monitor payments
• Monitor project costs and prepare regular cost reports
• Handle contract administration and contractual documentation
• Prepare and negotiate final accounts
• Liaise with clients, consultants, Project Managers, subcontractors and suppliers
• Attend site meetings and carry out site measurements when required

About you

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management or related discipline
• Relevant experience in building/construction projects preferred
• Knowledge of quantity take-off, cost control, progress claims and variation works
• Able to read construction drawings and specifications
• Good communication, negotiation and coordination skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other relevant QS software
• Able to work independently and coordinate with the project team
