Quantity Surveyor

Qualifications:

• College graduate
• At least 1 year of work experience in the construction industry is preferred, but applicants with no experience are also welcome.
• Amenable to travel and stay on-site

Responsibilities:

• Analyze architectural plans to produce detailed, accurate cost estimates, material take-offs, and project budgets.
• Prepare progress billings, monitor project costs, verify subcontractor accomplishments, and process variation orders.
• Track project progress, manage variations (change orders), and update budgets to prevent cost overruns.
• Inspect ongoing construction work, check materials delivered on-site against specifications, and ensure compliance with plans.
• Value completed work, process subcontractor payments, and prepare monthly cost-value reports.
• Identify potential financial risks and advise on contractual disputes.
• Reconcile actual costs against estimates at project completion
• Maintain detailed records of inspection reports, test results, and QA/QC documentation.
• Collaborate with project teams, site engineers, and subcontractors to resolve cost and quality issues.
