Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our construction team. In this vital role, you will oversee all aspects of cost management for construction projects, ensuring financial efficiency and accuracy from inception to completion. Your expertise will help optimize project budgets, control costs, and deliver value-driven results. Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects, using SOR codes.
• Monitor project expenses throughout the construction lifecycle, ensuring adherence to approved budgets.
• Conduct regular site visits to assess progress and verify quantities of work completed for accurate billing and cost control.
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and suppliers to negotiate costs and secure competitive pricing.
• Manage change orders by evaluating their financial impact and updating project budgets accordingly.
• Maintain comprehensive records of all financial transactions, variations, and contractual documentation related to costs.
• Implement cost control measures by analyzing variances and recommending corrective actions to keep projects financially on track.

Experience

• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
• Demonstrated expertise in cost control techniques, budgeting, and financial reporting.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contractual documents accurately.
• Familiarity with relevant industry SOR codes, software tools or other estimating and project management platforms is preferred.
