Quantity Surveyor

Key Responsibilities

· Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs for civil, structural, works based on approved drawings and specifications.

· Prepare and review Bills of Quantities (BOQ), cost estimates, and tender documents.

· Analyze construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.

· Prepare material quantity estimates and support procurement planning.

· Monitor project costs, budgets, actual expenditures, and cost variations.

· Prepare interim payment applications, progress claims, and final accounts.

· Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations and prepare comparative statements.

· Identify, measure, and evaluate variations and additional works.

· Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, consultants, and procurement teams.

· Conduct site measurements and verify completed work quantities.

· Assist in tender preparation, rate analysis, and budget forecasting.

· Maintain proper records of project costs, invoices, purchase orders, and contractual documents.

· Ensure compliance with contract terms, project specifications, and company procedures.

Qualifications and Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering

· Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience in civil construction projects in UAE

· Experience in building construction, infrastructure, or general contracting is preferred.

· Good knowledge of BOQ preparation, quantity take offs, cost estimation, and contract administration.

· Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel.

· Experience with QS software and ERP systems is an advantage.

· Knowledge of UAE construction practices, contract procedures, and local market rates is preferred.

· Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with project teams.
