ABOUT THE ROLE

CR SEA (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quantity Surveyor (Pre-Contract) to join our Tender Department at our Headquarters in Bangsar South City, Kuala Lumpur.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the pre-contract and tendering process for construction projects, including quantity take-offs, cost estimation, tender pricing, preparation of tender submissions, and evaluation of subcontractor and supplier quotations.

This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of construction projects, including high-rise developments and data centre projects, while contributing to the Company's tendering strategy and project acquisition efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and tender pricing for construction projects.
• Review tender drawings, specifications, bills of quantities (BQ), and other relevant tender documents.
• Prepare and compile tender submissions in accordance with client requirements and submission deadlines.
• Source, invite, and evaluate quotations from subcontractors and suppliers to support competitive tender pricing.
• Conduct cost comparisons, rate analysis, and commercial evaluations to ensure accurate and competitive tender submissions.
• Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and internal departments to obtain pricing information and clarify tender requirements.
• Conduct market research on construction material prices, subcontractor rates, and local construction market trends.
• Identify potential cost risks, discrepancies, and opportunities for cost optimisation during the tendering stage.
• Ensure all tender documentation is accurate, complete, and submitted within the required timelines.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying or an equivalent qualification in a related field.
2. Minimum 2–3 years of relevant working experience in Quantity Surveying, particularly in pre-contract, tendering, or cost estimation within the construction industry.
3. Experience in high-rise building or data centre projects will be an added advantage.
4. Good knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, bills of quantities (BQ), and local construction market rates.
5. Strong analytical, numerical, and organisational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to meet tight tender deadlines.
6. Good communication and coordination skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external parties.
