Professional integrity, confidentiality, and accountability are non-negotiable.

- Provide evidence-based cost advice using current market information.
- Cost Optimisation & Value Engineering
- Assess the financial implications of design decisions.
- Recommend cost-effective materials, specifications, and construction methods.
- Compare alternative design options without unnecessarily compromising quality or design intent.
- Identify opportunities to reduce waste, improve buildability, and optimise project budgets.
- Tendering & Construction Cost Control
- Prepare tender pricing documents and evaluate contractor quotations.
- Review variations, interim valuations, and payment applications where required.
- Monitor project expenditure against approved budgets.
- Prepare cost reports, forecasts, and final account assessments.
- Reporting & Collaboration
- Prepare clear, professional cost reports and recommendations.
- Maintain organised records of rates, calculations, assumptions, and revisions.
- Collaborate with designers, engineers, and project managers.
- Communicate cost concerns early and meet agreed delivery deadlines.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or HND in Quantity Surveying.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant professional experience.
- Proven experience in construction cost estimation, BOQ preparation, and cost planning.
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian construction costs, materials, labour rates, and market trends.
- Ability to interpret architectural, structural, MEP, and interior design drawings.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, procurement, and industry measurement standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and relevant quantity surveying software.
- Membership of the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (NIQS) is preferred.
