Quantity Surveyor

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Develop and establish project target costs based on feasibility studies, schematic designs, and construction drawings.
• Review pre-tender documentation including cost estimates, bill of quantities (BQ), design specifications, and contract terms.
• Coordinate with project site teams to evaluate progress claims, assess variation orders, and ensure cost control throughout implementation.
• Manage dynamic cost tracking and forecasting throughout the project lifecycle, including final account settlement and financial reporting.
• Prepare project cost management summaries and maintain/update cost index records in SAP for internal reference and benchmarking.
• Enhance understanding of technical cost benchmarks, and propose value engineering opportunities based on insights from executed projects.
• Stay up to date with evolving solar technologies and assess their cost implications on project delivery, incorporating insights into the company’s cost database.

Experiences:

• Degree in MEP Quantity Surveying / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with related MEP Quantity Surveying environment.
• Preferably experience in providing cost management services for Solar EPC or handling large consulting projects in a professional cost consultancy firm.
• Strong analytical, communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with others in an integrated team environment.
• Honest and trustworthy individual with a strong sense of professional ethics and team spirit.
• Able to communicate fluently in Malaysia, English and Mandarin to serve Mandarin-speaking customers (Cantonese and Japanese will be an added advantage but not essential)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
