Quantity Surveyor

The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for cost management, quantity measurement, tender preparation, and contract administration for construction projects. The successful candidate will work closely with project teams, contractors, and suppliers to ensure accurate cost control and efficient project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Prepare cost estimates, bills of quantities (BQ), and tender documents.
2. Conduct quantity take-offs and measurements from drawings.
3. Prepare quotations, progress claims, and variation orders.
4. Monitor project costs, budgets, and expenditures.
5. Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
6. Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and suppliers on project costs.
7. Assist with contract administration and payment certifications.
8. Maintain accurate cost records and prepare cost reports.
9. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

1. Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
2. Relevant experience in quantity surveying or the construction industry is an advantage.
3. Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and cost estimation.
4. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
5. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and relevant quantity surveying software.
6. Good communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
7. Detail-oriented, organised, and able to meet deadlines.
8. Able to work independently and collaborate with project teams.
9. Proficient in Mandarin, English, and Malay. Fluency in Mandarin is highly preferred.
