Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our construction team. In this vital role, you will oversee all aspects of cost management for construction projects, ensuring financial efficiency and project success. Your expertise will help control project costs, manage budgets, and support procurement processes. Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates and budgets for construction projects from initial design through completion.
• Monitor project expenses continuously to ensure adherence to budget constraints, implementing cost control measures as needed.
• Conduct detailed tender evaluations and negotiate contracts with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to secure the best value.
• Track and analyze project costs throughout the construction lifecycle, providing regular reports to stakeholders.
• Manage contractual variations, change orders, and claims to minimize financial risks and maximize project profitability.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to align financial objectives with project timelines and specifications.
• Ensure compliance with legal, safety, and quality standards related to financial management and procurement processes.

Experience

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or in a similar role within the construction or infrastructure industry.
• Strong knowledge of cost control techniques, budgeting, and financial reporting practices.
• Familiarity with construction contracts, procurement procedures, and legal frameworks governing the industry.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and prepare detailed reports.
• Effective communication skills for negotiating with suppliers and collaborating across multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: £50,000.00-£65,000.00 per year
