Quantity Surveyor

• Prepare cost estimates, Bills of Quantities (BOQ), budgets, and cost plans for educational facilities.
• Manage tendering, procurement, contract administration, and contractor evaluations.
• Monitor project costs, cash flow, variations, progress claims, and final accounts.
• Conduct site visits to verify work progress, quantities, and costs.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality, safety, and compliance.
• Coordinate with project managers, consultants, contractors, and school or university management.
• Support construction, renovation, and maintenance projects while minimising disruption to academic activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant construction or quantity surveying experience; education-sector experience is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of cost estimation, BOQ preparation, tendering, budgeting, and contract administration.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with cost-management or quantity take-off software.
• Strong analytical, communication, negotiation, and organisational skills.
• High attention to detail, integrity, and ability to manage multiple projects within budget and deadlines.
