Quantity Surveyor

Job Scope – Quantity Surveyor

• Conduct site visits and prepare pre-tender estimates, measurements and Bills of Quantities (BOQ).
• Prepare cost estimates, cost plans and cost comparisons for project budgeting.
• Source materials and obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Prepare and issue purchase orders in accordance with project requirements.
• Prepare and manage project documentation, including Extension of Time (EOT) submissions, progress claims, variation orders and final accounts.
• Prepare, evaluate and submit claims for variation works in accordance with contract requirements.
• Evaluate subcontractors' work progress, verify invoices against delivery orders and recommend payments.
• Prepare accurate quotations for project works.
• Attend site meetings, technical meetings and coordination meetings as required.
• Assist the Project Manager in preparing progress reports, site reports and material requisitions.
• Monitor project costs and track design and construction changes to ensure accurate cost records are maintained.
• Ensure timely project account reconciliation and final account closure.

Maintenance & Facilities Coordination

• Monitor maintenance cases through the Computerised Integrated Facilities Management (CIFM) system.
• Assign maintenance cases to subcontractors and monitor their response within the required KPI timelines.
• Follow up with subcontractors to ensure timely completion and closure of outstanding maintenance cases.
• Maintain accurate records and provide updates on maintenance status where required.

Any other duties

• Perform any other duties as assigned by Management.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• 1–3 years of relevant QS or construction experience preferred.
• Fresh graduates with relevant qualifications are welcome to apply.
• Knowledge of measurement, contracts and construction costing.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
