Quantity Surveyor

Job Responsibilities:

1. Quantity Surveying & Billing

• Prepare BOQs, quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and rate analysis.
• Prepare and submit client RA bills and final bills.
• Verify subcontractor bills and site measurements.
• Track extra items, variation claims, and pending client payments.
• Monitor project costs and maintain project-wise cost reports.

2. Procurement

• Obtain vendor quotations and prepare comparative statements.
• Negotiate prices, credit periods, and delivery schedules.
• Raise purchase orders and coordinate timely material deliveries.
• Ensure materials meet approved specifications and budgeted costs.
• Verify vendor invoices against purchase orders and delivery challans.
• Maintain vendor databases and procurement records.

3. Cost Control & Coordination

• Monitor project budgets, material consumption, and wastage.
• Coordinate with site engineers, project managers, accounts, clients, and vendors.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and help maintain targeted project margins.
• Maintain accurate documentation and submit regular progress reports.

Required Skills:

• 3 to 5 years of experience in QS, billing, and procurement.
• Strong knowledge of BOQ, RA billing, rate analysis, and vendor negotiations.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and AutoCAD.
• Good commercial, analytical, and communication skills.
• Experience in civil construction and interior fit-out projects preferred.
