QUANTITY SURVEYOR

Requirement:

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying or an equivalent qualification.
• Relevant experience in quantity surveying, preferably in construction or infrastructure projects.
• Experience in site measurement, progress claims, variation orders, and cost control.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and Bills of Quantities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other relevant quantity surveying software.
• Good communication, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and coordinate effectively with site and project teams.
• Willing to travel to project sites as required.

Job Description:

• Conduct site visits and measure actual quantities of work completed.
• Verify site progress, quantities, and subcontractors’ claims against actual work done.
• Prepare, submit, and monitor progress claims to clients and main contractors.
• Review, evaluate, and certify subcontractors’ progress claims.
• Identify, measure, and prepare variation orders (VO) arising from changes in project scope, drawings, or site conditions.
• Monitor project costs, budgets, and expenditures to ensure compliance with the approved project budget.
• Prepare and maintain records of site measurements, quantity take-offs, cost reports, and commercial documentation.
• Coordinate with Site Engineers and Project Managers to monitor work progress and identify potential cost implications.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, main contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers on quantity, costing, and contractual matters.
• Assist in the preparation of final accounts and reconciliation of project quantities upon completion.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, and Bills of Quantities (BQ) to ensure consistency with actual site conditions.
• Monitor material usage and quantities to minimise wastage and control project costs.
• Attend site meetings and commercial discussions when required.
• Perform other duties related to project and site operations as assigned by management.

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
