Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Quantity Surveyor role based in the Colombo District. The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQ), assisting in cost planning for projects, and supporting tendering processes. Daily tasks include monitoring project costs, preparing and updating cost reports, evaluating variations and claims, and coordinating with project managers, engineers, and suppliers. The role also involves verifying measurements, checking contractor invoices, ensuring cost control measures are implemented, and maintaining accurate documentation. The Quantity Surveyor will contribute to maintaining budgets, minimizing financial risks, and supporting timely decision-making for project stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess skills in BOQ preparation and measurement for construction or related projects.
• Candidates should possess skills in cost planning and cost management to support budgeting and financial forecasting.
• Candidates should possess skills in cost control and cost reporting to monitor expenditures and provide clear financial summaries.
• Relevant academic qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related field.
• Practical experience in construction or infrastructure projects, preferably within the Colombo District or similar environments.
• Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and quantity surveying or project cost management software.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work with multidisciplinary project teams on-site.
