What they need
About the Role
We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor / Estimation Engineer to study project requirements, work out material and work quantities, and prepare accurate cost estimates and rates. This role is central to winning projects and keeping them within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Study client requirements, drawings, specifications and tender documents
- Take off quantities and prepare the Bill of Quantities (BOQ)
- Prepare cost estimates and rate analysis for each work item (material, labour, equipment)
- Analyse current market rates for materials and labour
- Prepare quotations and tender submissions for client projects
- Compare vendor and subcontractor quotations and recommend the best option
- Prepare RA (running account) bills, final bills and measurement sheets
- Track project costs against the budget and report any variations
- Handle variation orders, extra items and rate negotiations with clients
- Coordinate with the site, purchase and project teams
