Quantity Surveyor ( Construction )

About the role

Zhong Sing Design is looking for a Quantity Surveyor (QS) to join our growing construction and renovation team in Singapore.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates, budgets, quotations and tender documents
• Carry out quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications
• Source and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations
• Prepare and assess progress claims, variation orders (VOs) and final accounts
• Monitor project costs and ensure works remain within the approved budget
• Prepare subcontractor payment certifications and cost reports
• Review contracts, quotations and project documentation
• Work closely with Project Managers, Designers, Consultants and Site Teams
• Attend site meetings and conduct site measurements when required
• Track project profitability and provide regular cost updates to management

About you

• Diploma/Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management or related discipline
• Experience in construction, renovation or interior fit-out projects preferred
• Good understanding of construction materials, methods and costing
• Able to read architectural and construction drawings
• Familiar with progress claims, VOs, tendering and subcontractor quotations
• Good negotiation, communication and analytical skills
• Organised, responsible and able to work independently
• Knowledge of the Singapore construction industry will be an advantage
