Quantity Surveyor – Construction

ERA Projects is looking for a qualified and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor – Construction to join our team in Bahrain. The successful candidate will be responsible for cost estimation, quantity take-offs, BOQ preparation, budget monitoring, and contract administration for construction projects, including villas and high-rise buildings.

Candidates must be currently available in Bahrain and able to join immediately.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and Bills of Quantities (BOQ) based on architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
• Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and material quantity calculations for construction projects.
• Monitor project costs and ensure expenses remain within the approved budget.
• Review tender documents, specifications, contracts, and construction drawings.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Assist in procurement activities, cost comparisons, and supplier negotiations.
• Prepare interim payment applications, subcontractor payments, and progress valuations.
• Evaluate variations, additional works, and claims.
• Monitor actual project costs against estimated costs and prepare cost reports.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, procurement teams, and site personnel.
• Assist in preparing final accounts and project cost reconciliation.
• Maintain accurate records of measurements, costs, variations, and contractual documents.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Relevant experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
• Experience in villas, high-rise buildings, or other building construction projects is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, quantity take-offs, cost estimation, and cost control.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
• Familiarity with construction contracts, variations, interim payments, and subcontractor valuations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and quantity surveying software; AutoCAD knowledge is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, numerical, organizational, and negotiation skills.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Must be currently located in Bahrain.
• Immediate joiner preferred.
