Quantity Surveyor (Electrical)

About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor (Electrical) to join our growing team at PMQS Construction Solutions, Inc. in Ortigas Center, Pasig City (stay-out). This is a full-time role that will play a crucial part in the success of our construction projects by providing expert cost management and quantity surveying services.

What you'll be doing

• Prepare detailed bills of quantities and cost estimates for mechanical and electrical works on construction projects
• Analyse project drawings, specifications, and other documentation to identify work requirements and calculate quantities
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure project costs are accurately tracked and controlled
• Provide regular cost reports and forecasts to keep stakeholders informed of financial performance
• Assist with the procurement and tendering process, including evaluating bids and negotiating contracts
• Identify potential cost savings and advise on the most cost-effective construction methods
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and company policies

What we're looking for

• Degree in Electrical Engineering
• At least 2 years of post-qualification experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with a focus on electrical works; Preferably experience in a QS Consultancy Firm
• Proficient in the use of quantity surveying software
• Excellent understanding of construction materials, methods, and industry regulations
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve cost-related issues
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and across multiple projects
• Amenable to report to office, Monday - Friday.
