Quantity Surveyor (Electrical, Tender, M&E)

Summary

We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our Tender team, supporting the preparation of competitive and accurate tender submissions for electrical and engineering projects.

The role will focus mainly on tender review, quantity take-off, cost estimation, sourcing and evaluation of quotations, pricing analysis and preparation of tender documentation

Key Responsibilities

• Review tender requirements, specifications, drawings, Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and related documents.
• Carry out quantity take-off, cost estimation and tender pricing.
• Source and evaluate quotations from subcontractors, suppliers and service providers.
• Prepare cost comparisons, budgets and value-engineering proposals.
• Support preparation and submission of tender documents.
• Identify cost risks, potential savings and commercial considerations during tender preparation.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to obtain technical and commercial inputs required for tender submissions.
• Maintain proper tender, costing and supporting documentation.

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering or related discipline.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying, tendering, cost estimation or contract administration.
• Experience in electrical, M&E, infrastructure, industrial construction or engineering projects will be an advantage.
• Able to interpret technical drawings, tender specifications and BOQ.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with good attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and relevant costing or QS tools.
• Able to work independently and coordinate well with multiple stakeholders.
