Quantity Surveyor / Estimator

About the role

This is a full-time Quantity Surveyor position with PT Green Structure Industries' based in Batam Kota Riau Islands. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in the steel structures Construction industry, responsible for overseeing and managing the financial aspects of construction projects.

What you'll be doing

• Preparing detailed cost estimates and bills of quantities for STEEL STRUCTURES construction projects
• Analysing and interpreting technical drawings and specifications to identify and quantify resources required
• Negotiating and managing contracts with suppliers, subcontractors and other stakeholders
• Able to read documents or drawings, calculate materials and matters related to internal and external project requirements.
• Providing regular cost reports and financial updates to project managers and clients
• Good experience in prepare and submit tender document
• Ensuring compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards

What we're looking for

• Relevant degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management
• Minimum 2-3 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the Construction industry. Fresh graduates with relevant internship experience in this field and a high GPA are also welcome to apply.
• Strong knowledge of construction steel materials, methods, and industry regulations
• Proficient in using Auto CAD, construction cost estimation and project management software
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills
• Attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines
• Proficiency in English (both written and verbal) is required, and/or the ability to communicate in Mandarin will be a significant advantage.
