QUANTITY SURVEYOR (GRADUATE)

Job Summary

The Quantity Surveyor (Fresh Graduate) is responsible for supporting the cost management and contractual aspects of construction projects. The role involves assisting in cost estimation, measurement, tendering, and contract administration under the guidance Project Management and Contract Administration.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing cost estimates, Bills of Quantities (BQ), and tender documents
• Carry out measurement of construction works based on drawings and site conditions
• Support in the evaluation and comparison of tender submissions
• Assist in preparing progress claims, variation orders, and final accounts
• Liaise with consultants, contractors, and suppliers for cost and contract-related matters
• Maintain proper documentation of contracts, payments, and project cost records
• Assist in site valuation and progress monitoring
• Support senior QS in cost control and project budgeting
• Ensure compliance with contract requirements and company procedures

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply
• Basic knowledge of construction contracts (PAM / JKR / CIDB standards is an advantage)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and AutoCAD is an advantage
• Strong analytical and numerical skills
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Willing to learn and work in a fast-paced construction environment
