QUANTITY SURVEYOR (M & E)

About the role

This role involves taking off quantities, pricing and preparation of tender submissions, preparing Bills of Quantity, sourcing for sub-contractors and suppliers, and analyzing project specifications to recommend cost-saving measures. You will assist the Project Team for Variation Works, Progress Claim and Cost Control, monitor and track project costs against planned schedule and budget, measure and determine the amount of work done at stages to evaluate progress and contractual claims, assist in settlement of final accounts, and carry out contract administration duties.

Key responsibilities

• Taking off quantities, pricing and preparation of tender submission
• Prepare Bills of Quantity
• Source for sub-contractors and suppliers, evaluation of price comparison and costing summary
• Analyze project specifications to recommend cost-saving measures
• Assist Project Team for Variation Works, Progress Claim and Cost Control
• Monitor and keep track of project cost as per planned schedule and budget
• Measure and determine amount of work done at stages to evaluate progress and contractual claims by sub-contractors
• Assist in the settlement of final accounts with client, suppliers, and sub-contractors
• Carry out contract administration duties

About you

• Diploma / Degree Holders in Quantity Surveying or equivalent from a recognized institution / University
• At least 3 year(s) of working experience in the related field
• Be able to take instructions and work independently
• Good communications skills, able to interact with people of all levels
• Able to work well in a team
