Quantity Surveyor (M&E)

· Responsible for estimating the costs of materials, labour, and equipment required for a construction project.

· Develop and manage the budget for the construction project, ensuring that costs stay within the budgeted amount.

· Works with architects, engineers, and other professionals to plan and coordinate the construction project, ensuring that it is completed on time and within budget.

· Responsible for preparing and administering contracts for the construction project, including negotiating terms and conditions, monitoring progress, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.

· Controlling costs throughout the construction project, including identifying and reducing waste and managing changes to the project scope.

· Identify and manage risks associated with the construction project, including ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

· Finding ways to reduce costs without compromising quality, by considering alternative materials or construction methods.

· Manage pre-tender to post-contract stages.

· Preparing contract documents, working on quantities, taking off measurement, providing cost, estimates and managing cost information.

· Handle progress claims, progress payments and finalization of accounts

· Negotiation of price with suppliers and sub-contractors, including of awarding sub-contract agreement

· To attend tender interviews, site show-rounds and liaise with consultants, quantity surveyors, architects, developers and contractors on certification of claims for payments.

· Take-off quantity for projects

· Sourcing for quotations from specialists, suppliers and sub-contractors
