QUANTITY SURVEYOR PRE CONTRACT

RAQ Contracting is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor – Pre-Contract to join our Estimation Department. The candidate will be responsible for reviewing tender documents, preparing quantity take-offs and BOQs, preparing subcontractor enquiry packages, and following up to obtain quotations for projects under tendering. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of construction drawings, BOQ, specifications, quantity measurement, and tendering procedures, with relevant experience in the UAE construction industry.

1. Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, BOQs, and scope of work.
2. Prepare accurate quantity take-offs and detailed BOQs based on tender drawings and specifications.
3. Use PlanSwift for quantity measurement and verification.
4. Prepare enquiry packages for subcontractors and suppliers, including relevant drawings, specifications, and scope of work.
5. Send enquiries and follow up with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain quotations within tender deadlines.
6. Review subcontractor quotations for scope completeness and technical compliance with tender requirements.
7. Identify discrepancies, missing information, and quantity variations in tender documents, and coordinate necessary clarifications.
8. Coordinate with estimators, technical, and procurement teams to ensure accurate and timely completion of tender requirements.

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying. Minimum 5–7 years of relevant experience, preferably in the Estimation Department of a main contracting company. Proficiency in PlanSwift and MS Excel. Strong understanding of building construction methods, materials, and technical specifications. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail. Ability to work independently, manage multiple tenders simultaneously, and meet tight submission deadlines.
