Quantity Surveyor (QS)

The role ensures projects are completed within budget while maintaining quality and compliance with contractual requirements.

• Assist in taking off quantities from drawings and site measurements.
• Track quantities executed on site against budgeted quantities.
• Maintain measurement records and cost backup documentation.
• Assist in reviewing contractor and subcontractor payment claims.
• Verify quantities, rates, and completed works under supervision.
• Support preparation of payment recommendations.
• Maintain records of certified payments and outstanding amounts.
• Assist in recording and tracking variations and change requests.
• Support preparation of variation cost assessments.
• Maintain variation registers and supporting documentation.
• Assist in preparing bills of quantities, schedules, and pricing documents.
• Support procurement by analysing quotations and comparing rates.
• Maintain records of purchase orders and subcontract agreements.
• Attend site meetings and site walks as required.
• Coordinate with site engineers to verify progress and measurements.
• Support resolution of quantity and scope clarifications.
• Maintain organised cost and measurement records.
• Assist in preparing monthly cost reports.
• Ensure all cost documentation is complete and auditable.
• Develop detailed baseline construction programmes for each project.
• Breakdown works into logical activities aligned with the WBS and construction
• methodology.
• Integrate design, approvals, procurement, and construction activities into the
• master schedule.
• Establish milestone dates and critical path activities
• Update project schedules on a regular basis (monthly).
• Track actual progress against planned activities
• Validate progress updates provided by site teams
