Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Quantity Surveyor with strong knowledge of UAE construction projects, market rates, and regulations. The successful candidate will support UAE-based teams in cost estimation, Bill of Quantities (BOQ) preparation, tendering, contract administration, and post-contract cost control while working remotely from Pakistan.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate Bills of Quantities (BOQs) based on drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Conduct cost estimation, budgeting, and cost planning for residential, commercial, infrastructure, and high-rise projects.
• Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, and contracts to identify commercial risks and cost implications.
• Prepare tender submissions, quotation comparisons, and subcontractor and supplier evaluation sheets.
• Assist with variation orders, interim payment applications, final accounts, and payment certificates.
• Support claims preparation and contract administration in accordance with FIDIC contracts and UAE practices.
• Monitor UAE construction market rates, material prices, labour costs, and relevant authority requirements.
• Coordinate with UAE-based clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams through email, Zoom, and project management platforms.
• Prepare commercial reports, cost analysis, and other contractual documentation.
• Assist in procurement planning, cost control, and project financial reporting.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 4–6 years of relevant Quantity Surveying experience.
• At least 2 years of experience working on UAE construction projects (mandatory).
• Strong understanding of UAE construction practices, regulations, authority requirements, and market pricing.
• Knowledge of FIDIC contracts, tendering procedures, and pre- and post-contract activities.
• Membership with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC), where applicable; RICS or CIOB membership will be an advantage.

Required Technical Skills

• Proficiency in MS Excel and AutoCAD.
• Experience with PlanSwift and QS software such as Candy, CostX, or Bluebeam.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contractual documents.
• Strong numerical, analytical, estimation, and cost-control skills.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with UAE-based teams remotely.

• Residential towers and villas.
• Commercial projects and fit-outs.
• Infrastructure and design-build projects.
• Supplier and subcontractor negotiations.
• UAE authority documentation, including Dubai Municipality and Trakhees requirements.
