Quantity Surveyor (Utilities Infrastructure)

Our client is an established telecommunication and utilities infrastructure contractor, specialising in fibre-optic networks, power cable installation, underground utilities and related civil works. They are hiring a Quantity Surveyor to support tendering, costing and commercial management for utilities and infrastructure projects. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare accurate cost estimates for underground utilities construction projects, covering materials, labour, and overheads.
• Develop and manage project budgets to maintain financial control and cost efficiency.
• Prepare, issue, and manage tender documents for underground utilities projects.
• Analyse and evaluate tender submissions to support effective contractor selection.
• Negotiate contracts and manage procurement activities for project requirements.
• Monitor project costs and expenditures against approved budgets.
• Prepare regular cost reports, financial forecasts, and project cost updates.
• Identify, assess, and report cost variations and contractual claims.
• Draft, review, and administer contracts and subcontracts, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, utility companies, and stakeholders on cost control, project feasibility, and contractual matters.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word)
• Experience in construction related roles and dealing with claim matters.

• Working Days/Hours           : 5 days/ office hours
• Salary: S$4,500 + Variable Bonus (salary will commensurate according to experience & qualifications)
