Quantity Surveyor/Estimator

About the role

This is a full-time Quantity Surveyor / Estimator role with Ausource Construction Management PLT based in Kuching, Sarawak. You will be responsible for supporting residential construction projects through estimating, cost analysis and quantity take-offs, while working alongside a collaborative team and gaining valuable exposure to the construction industry.

What You'll Be Doing

• Costing of complete homes and variations as required
• Calculating quantities for entire homes
• Generation of orders (including dealing with telephone enquiries and organizing quotes if required)
• Making up of job files, if required
• Identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
• Ensuring compliance with relevant construction industry regulations and standards
• Perform other related duties and responsibilities as required to support the team and business operations

What We're Looking For

• Tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
• 0 - 2+ years of relevant experience as a Quantity Surveying or the construction industry. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and evaluate project data accurately
• Good communication, organizational and coordination skills
• Proficiency in quantity surveying software and other relevant tools
• Knowledge of construction industry regulations, standards, and best practices
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and quality
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
