Marino Quarry is looking for an experienced Quarry Operator to join our team in Cairns.

We're looking for a reliable, hands-on operator who takes pride in their work, looks after their machinery and enjoys being part of a hardworking team.

The Role

You'll be involved in the day-to-day operations of our Cairns quarry, working with a range of heavy machinery and helping keep production running safely and efficiently.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Operating quarry machinery, including wheel loaders, excavators and crushing equipment.
• Loading trucks and managing stockpiles and quarry materials.
• Assisting with crushing, screening and general quarry production activities.
• Carrying out daily pre-start inspections, routine servicing and basic equipment maintenance.
• Identifying and reporting mechanical issues before they become bigger problems.
• Maintaining a safe, clean and organised worksite.
• Working alongside the team to keep operations running smoothly.

What We're Looking For

We're after someone who knows their way around heavy machinery, has a good attitude and isn't afraid to get their hands dirty.

Ideally, you'll bring:

• Previous experience operating heavy machinery in a quarry, mining or civil construction environment.
• Experience operating wheel loaders and excavators.
• Experience with crushing and screening equipment will be highly regarded.
• Good mechanical knowledge and a willingness to assist with general maintenance.
• A strong commitment to workplace safety.
• A current driver's licence and relevant machinery competencies.
• Reliability, initiative and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
