The opportunity

You will take ownership of site operations across extraction, processing, and the sales yard, ensuring production runs efficiently while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and team engagement.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you will:

• Lead, coach, and support a team of operators to deliver consistent results
• Coordinate plant and people to meet production targets with confidence
• Foster a positive, high-performing team culture grounded in trust and accountability
• Champion continuous improvement across safety, environmental performance, and operational efficiency
• Monitor product quality and respond to challenges with a practical, solutions-focused approach
• Use data and on-site insights to guide decision-making and performance conversations
• Build strong working relationships across internal teams, contractors, and customers

About you

You are a considered and approachable leader who takes pride in building capable teams and running a well-organised site. You bring:

• Experience within quarrying, mining, or a similar heavy, civil, industry environment
• A practical leadership style, with the ability to coach and bring people with you
• Sound understanding of health & safety and environmental requirements
• Confidence working with systems, reporting, and operational data
• A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
• Tertiary qualifications in relevant fields are attractive but not essential
• Obtained or on a pathway to obtain your Certificate of Competence (COC)
