Maintenance Estimator / Quoting Engineer

Full-Time | Permanent | Office & Field Based

We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Estimator / Quoting Engineer to join our busy general maintenance company.

This would be an excellent opportunity for an experienced maintenance or multi-trade engineer looking to move away from being on the tools full-time, while still using their practical knowledge and experience.

The position is split between desktop-based quoting and site visits, assessing maintenance works and producing accurate quotations.

The Role

You will be responsible for:

• Reviewing new jobs, photographs and engineer reports
• Producing quotations from the office
• Attending properties where a site assessment is required
• Creating clear and detailed scopes of works
• Calculating labour, materials and expected job duration
• Obtaining supplier and subcontractor costs
• Pricing general maintenance and multi-trade works
• Identifying access requirements, specialist trades and potential additional costs
• Liaising with engineers, suppliers, subcontractors and clients
• Keeping quotations and job information accurately updated

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for someone with strong hands-on knowledge of property maintenance and general building works.

You may currently be a Multi-Trade Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Estimator, Surveyor or Contracts Manager.

You'll need to understand how jobs should be completed, what materials and trades are required and realistically how long the work should take.

You'll be confident working from a desktop as well as getting out on the road to inspect and assess jobs.

Essential

• Strong general maintenance / multi-trade knowledge
• Experience assessing and pricing works
• Good understanding of labour and material requirements
• Good computer skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong communication skills
• Full UK driving licence

Salary: depending on experience
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
