Rack Cable Operator

About the role

This role involves performing rack cabling and cable installation according to technical drawings, work instructions and specifications. You will route, arrange and secure cables within server racks to ensure proper installation and cable management, and perform basic checks to ensure cables are correctly connected and installed.

Key responsibilities

• Perform rack cabling and cable installation according to technical drawings, work instructions and specifications
• Route, arrange and secure cables within server racks to ensure proper installation and cable management
• Perform basic checks to ensure cables are correctly connected and installed
• Maintain good housekeeping and 5S standards within the work area
• Follow workplace safety procedures, including safe practices when working at heights
• Perform other cabling and production-related duties as assigned
• Work on shifts as required

About you

• Minimum 1–2 years of relevant experience in cabling, electrical, electronics, server assembly, manufacturing or a related environment

• Minimum Nitec, Higher Nitec, vocational or equivalent technical qualification

• Good hand dexterity and attention to detail for cable routing and installation

• Able to read and follow basic technical drawings and work instructions

• Able to work in a production environment involving prolonged standing and occasional ladder use/working at heights

• Able to handle and move items of up to 50 lbs (approximately 23 kg) in accordance with workplace safety requirements

• Basic computer skills

• Location: Tampines (Near IKEA)

• Working Hours: 8am - 8pm (Day Shift) / 8pm - 8am (Night Shift)

• Fixed Sunday Rest Day

Shift Allowance:

• Day Shift: SGD 12/per day
• Night Shift: SGD 24/per day
• Premium Allowance: SGD 15/per day
• Work Pattern: Shift work required
