RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Be a key member of the Diagnostic Imaging team, providing clinical radiographs as directed by physicians or radiologists in accordance with established standards and practices.
• Prepare patients and adjust equipment as necessary for the performance of x-ray examinations.
• Identify and instruct patients regarding procedures.
• Perform Quality Assurance tasks as directed by the Imaging Director.
• Prepare and maintain departmental records and reports.
• Work flexible shifts as needed in both hospital and clinic settings.
• In a critical access hospital environment, perform X-ray examinations and assume additional imaging-related duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

• 2 years of experience preferred.
• Cross-training opportunities available.
• Successfully complete an AMA-approved Radiologic Technologist training course.
• Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and maintain annual registration.
• Maintain current CEU credits as required by the ARRT.
• Strong communication skills to effectively instruct patients and ensure their comfort during imaging procedures.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift and move patients, and handle imaging equipment.

We provide care close to home for the southern Kenai Peninsula.
